2018 marks the reprisal of Los Angeles' L. Scatter with the new 7" Figueroa & Sunset, returning after 2011's Beat Swap Meet presents: The All Vinyl Mixtape. L. Scatter's new 7" features the heavy weight boom bap tracks "Figueroa Street", "Sunset Blvd./Cesar E. Chavez Ave", and "Chick Hearn Court". As bonus beats, "Sun" and "Fig" exist as short instrumentals of "Figueroa" and "Sunset". As a building block in Project Blowed's infamous history, L. Scatter's legacy continues on a straight arrow progression, keeping intact the foundations that shaped an entire movement of technical hip-hop.

Across Figueroa & Sunset's five tracks, L. Scatter brought in contributions from Dilated Peoples' Rakaa Iriscience, Styliztik Jones, Abstract Rude, DJ Mino, Silent John, Brainbreakers, and DJ Kenzo Roc Martinez. Hip-hop artistry is amplified to the brim, bubbling with the classic lyricism and tone of the '90s that brings nostalgia to the forefront. Jurassic 5's Chali 2na was also involved, diving into another lane he's become well known for, shooting the coverage image in a central Downtown location of LA.

Housed in a special five-page zine that features lyrics, credits and photos from all over the City of Angels, the limited edition 7" Figueroa & Sunset will be available in select record stores before the digital version hits platforms this summer.
